It all started over 100 years ago when Walter Green Snr worked for J. Gould & Co (Leicester) Ltd. - A boys jersey manufacturer in Leicester. When James Gould died, Walter Green Snr was made Manager and eventually bought the company in 1929

In later years his two Son's William James & Walter Harry joined the company and increased the size of the business, eventually employing over 85 staff. In 1982 the two brothers went their separate ways and Walter Harry formed his new company.

1982 - NOW

Our company has made knitted products for Next, Grattans, Pepe Jeans, Burtons & Top Man amongst many others. A 3rd generation of Green's now work in the family business alongside the founder.

After many years of the knitwear trade in 1984 we decided to start making the miracle cleaning pads, at the time we started with the name Lady Jane, and over the years we changed the name to Silver Lady, the methodology in the name was to be the Rolls Royce of cleaning pads, and as we all know the Rolls Royce car has the flying silver lady at the front. We have operated Silver Lady for the last 37 years and we feel now it is time for a transition, that is why I have joined with the Mandalia brothers to bring our product to the UK market, I am looking forwards to bringing my experience and there youth together to bring the operation to life locally and internationally. All our pads are made here in the UK and everything is also sourced in the UK too. We aim to keep the business here in the UK and keep the product as sustainable as possible.
